Written by Brooke King, Katia Ramirez, & Hayleigh Wankowski

Mount Vernon High School, Class of 2021

For My Mourning Mijo is a contemporary adaptation of the Aztec legend of the volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl.  It is framed within LGBTQ-related protests.

This production is also our VHSL one act play competition piece.  Due to COVID-19, competition pieces will be judged via submission of an unedited video recording.  No live audiences were permitted during the recording, but the recording was made available.
